| 12:57 pm PT Afternoon Wrap: Third time the charm :For the third session in a row the market averages opened on a firmer note but failed to follow through with choppy trade dominating into the afternoon. The third time was the charm, however, as the indices have been able to extend the recovery off their 50 day averages tested yesterday over the last hour or so to take back of sizeable chunk of this week's losses. Sectors helping to underpin include: Coal +4.4%, Gold +3.5%, Computer-Hardware +2.5%, Airline +1.95, Disk Drive +1.9%, Tobacco +1.9%, Banking +1.8%, Steel +1.4%, Broker/Dealer +1.1%, Utility +1.1%, Insurance +1.1%. Housing -1.5%, REIT -0.4% and Retail -0.4% are under pressure. Volume is running at a very heavy pace due to the expiration.
