Market Update Sat 10:03am ET: Weekly Recap - It was a mixed week for the stock market. Downward momentum from late last week carried into early this week, but the market then stabilized and went into a holding pattern.
Two themes from the past week were good economic data and continued mergers and acquisitions.

1:02 pm PT Cass Commercial sells business assets of St. Louis-Based Software Subsidiary (CASS) 33.20 -0.55 : Co announced it has sold the business assets of a software subsidiary, Government e-Management Solutions, to Harris Computer Systems. (GEMS is owned by Cass Commercial Bank, another CASS subsidiary.) The acquisition price was $7 mln (U.S.) in cash, subject to post-closing fiscal year-end adjustments. Cass projects that the transaction will have a neutral net impact on fourth quarter and fiscal 2005 earnings.
