(TALX) 39.92 +0.39:Co announces the acquisition of the unemployment tax management business of Employers Unity. Including unemployment cost management services and ancillary services such as employment verification. The co financed the approx $30.0 mln cash purchase through its revolving credit facility, which, among other things, was expanded to $150.0 mln of availability from $100.0 mln. The unemployment tax management business of Employers Unity, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, had revenues in excess of $14.0 mln in 2004 and is expected to be accretive to the co's fiscal 2006 earnings per share.
| 2:19 pm PT GlaxoSmithKline Vaccine formulated with proprietary adjuvant enhanced the sustained immune respose against cancer causing HPV (GSK) :Co presented data showing that its investigational human papillomavirus vaccine formulated with an innovative adjuvant, AS04, induced a stronger immune response, when compared to the same vaccine formulated with aluminum salt alone. This stronger response was sustained over 3.5 years post vaccination in women. These results, based on three separate assessments, including in-vitro evaluation of biological activity of AS04, induction of anti-HPV 16 and HPV 18 antibodies and inhibition of major neutralizing epitopes in animal and human subjects, were presented today at the American Association for Cancer Research International Conference on Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research in Baltimore, Maryland.
