12:51 pm PT Afternoon Wrap: Minor bounce, no follow through, lower volume :The market was able to build on Thursday's late recovery in opening action today but follow through buying interest failed to develop with the major averages stalling near resistances highlighted in this morning's Technical Take at 10350 Dow, 2100/2110 Nasdaq Comp and 1199 S&P 500. Volume is running below average and below the pace noted during the recent selling spree implying muted buy side interest. Given the extent of this week's slide from high to low (Russell 2000 -6.0%, S&P 400 -5.3%, Nasdaq 100 -4.8%, Nasdaq Comp -4.6%, S&P 500 -4.2%, NYSE Comp -4%, Dow -3.7%), however, there is potential for another recovery attempt early next week.
